  2. The teacher will present the basic construction, how it works and how to safely operate a specific type of sewing machine that will be used during the course. In this case, it will be a lockstitch machine, an overlock machine and an embroidery machine. Each participant, for the duration of the workshop, receives basic materials and tools necessary for tailoring work, along with an instructor on what they are for and how to use them (knurl, thread, chalk and tailor’s soap, scissors, scales, etc.)

After completing the course, the participant learned:

  1. Use and use the capabilities of a sewing machine and an overlock machine.
  2. Choose the right machine foot and needle and thread thickness for a specific fabric and
    the operation being performed.
  3. What tools help and are necessary in tailoring work.

  1. Getting to know the operation and safe operation of the sewing machine: The teacher will present the basic structure, how it works and how to safely operate the specific type of sewing machine that will be used during the course. In this case, it will be a lockstitch and overlock machine.

What are we going to do:

  • cutting individual elements from the base fabric
  • preparation of the product for the first measure
  • making corrections
  • sewing individual elements together and overcasting the seams
  • sewing invisible or classic zippers
  • sewing on the sleeve
  • finishing of the neckline and armpits with drapes
  • alignment and finishing of the bottom line of the dress

2 meetings x 5 hours
in the cycle: 1.5 hours of classes - 10 minutes of break
