CONSTRUCTION AND MODELING COURSE

Blouse

What are we going to do:

  • settlement and drawing of a construction grid or work on an existing base, adjusting to your own dimensions
  • modeling a blouse; carrying darts, drawing cuts, building a clasp
  • sleeve construction, types of sleeves – modeling
  • collar construction, types of collars – modeling

  1. Each participant, for the duration of the workshop, receives basic materials and tools necessary for design and modeling work, along with an instruction on what they are for and how to use them (knives, salsers, paper, scissors, etc.)
  2. The aim of the course is to teach the participant to independently prepare a construction grid of a blouse or to adjust them to their own dimensions using the existing base. The issues discussed will familiarize you with construction details, such as various types of seams, fasteners, as well as with the construction and modeling of various styles of sleeves and collars.

After the completed course, the participant learned:

  1. What tools help and are necessary in design work.
  2. Prepare a construction mesh of the blouse for a specific size on your own.
  3. Various types of darts and fasteners.
  4. Construction and modeling of various styles of sleeves and collars.

Developing and perfecting manual skills, such as machine and hand sewing, allows for a completely different type of commitment and activities that can result in decoupling, relaxation combined with satisfaction and professional improvement. The workshops for children and adults offered by the Krakow Sewing School of Sewing give the opportunity to acquire and develop tailoring skills at various levels of advancement, “familiarize” with sewing machines and teach practical craftsmanship. SEWING IS BEAUTIFUL!

ADVANCED COURSE

Jacket or coat with a lining

What are we going to do:

  • development of model forms of a jacket or coat
  • cutting individual elements, applying markings, sticking drapes
  • preparing the product for the first measure, measuring and applying corrections
  • sewing individual elements together and possibly covering the seams
  • making pockets with insets and a flap
  • sewing fasteners and buttons
